Valencia took another big step forward yesterday when the airport's metro station opened for business. First off the train were a couple of young tourists from Prague.
The metro now links the airport with the centre of Valencia in just 20 minutes. Trains run every seven and half minutes and a one-way ticket from the airport to the city centre costs 1.70 euros.
The same line that reaches the airport now also extends into the heart of Valencia's newly refurbished seaport - home of the America's Cup competition.
